Day 6 - Mostly More of the Same

I’m now on day 6 of Covid 19, and so far I’ve only experienced mild symptoms. I’m still oscillating wildly between feeling good and feeling poorly. However, I don’t seem to be getting worse at this point. My chest is still a bit flaky and my blood sugar levels are all over the place. My stomach has also been a bit dodgy today – but I’m not throwing up – more the other end, if you know what I mean. I still have no fever, and my O2 is ranging between 97 – 99%.
According to my GP, I’m now entering the day 7-10, which is the ‘danger zone’. Most people who end up in hospital either end up there in the first 4 days, or their immune system goes into overdrive around days 7-10 and you can get a ‘Cytokine storm’ response. This is a link from the Daily Mail regarding this phenomenon. I don’t consider the Daily Mail the height of scientific research, but it’s probably the most understandable article about this phenomenon that I’ve able to find.
Update to my preparedness list from yesterday! If you are diabetic, don’t forget to buy batteries for your BS monitor. Mine went dead today, and thankfully I was able to beg a battery off my neighbour.
I also wanted to mention that on top of vitamin D, we have also been taking vitamin K. Both were mentioned in this interesting article in the Guardian today:

My daughter seems to be fully recovered at this point. She has re-gained her sense of taste and smell, which were her only symptoms.
I’m keeping a close eye on my husband. He tested negative as of last Thursday, but he’s been absolutely shattered today. He has no fever and no other symptoms, but I am worried about him.
The cat seems fine other than he hates fireworks and he’s hiding behind our bed.
The guinea pigs don’t care about Covid or fireworks – just bring them food, now, please.
I have been following your blog over the last few days, I wish you well and hope your family are giving you hugs (if that is possible) thank you for writing this, take care Dawn x
